Energy Saving Week

Energy saving week content

Energy Saving Week is a unique, annual event hosted by the Energy Saving Trust.

This year’s Energy Saving Week takes place 25th – 31st October 2010.

The week, now its 14th year, aims to help raise awareness of energy efficiency within the home, helping households around the UK lower their carbon footprint and save money on their energy bills. Throughout the week the Energy Saving Trust holds events around the UK offering bespoke advice to the individual and the local community.

Energy Saving Week 2009 ran from 19-25 October. The theme was WASTE...where we helped people across the UK, to stop WASTING their TIME, MONEY and ENERGY!

Last year, we recruited up to 50 families across the UK to help us identify how we waste energy in the home. Capturing these wasteful acts were our Undercover Reporters who created a video capturing their families' wasteful habits. Each of the days a new video report was uploaded to the home page... for a few home truths!

Need some more help on where you can help the environment and stop wasting energy? Visit our Energy Saving Clock for more tips and advice depending on how much time you have to spare.
